If the empty set is a subset of any set then why is it the complement of the universal set?
By definition empty set is a subset of any set A otherwise it contains an element which is not an element of set A. But why is it that the complement of Universal set is the empty set? does it mean that empty set has element contains elements that are not in the Universal set? This is impossible right?
Complement of universal set = Universal set – universal set = { }
{ } .. empty set means nothing.
