How do you become a pro drag racer?
I want to become a pro drag racer. What is the typical career path from complete beginner to absolute pro?
Become an amatuer drag racer and work your way into sportsman racing such as Super street, super gas, or super comp. Then once the wins start coming, make your way to top dragster or Top sportsman. If things go good there you could catch a ride in a top alcohol dragster or fc then work on up to the fuel classes.
All of your nitro class drivers worked through the sportsman classes and through alcohol classes to get where they are. A lot of pro stock drivers came from the sportsman ranks as well. Some of them were even banned from competing at IHRA events indefinately for cheating!!!!
All probably started doing bracket racing.
