Hose Clamps
Can i replace a section of my metal power steering line with rubber hose and hose clamps?
I mean, i know i can do it, but will a rubber hose and hose clamps hold under pressure? I tried to find the PSI in a power steering system, but came up empty handed. New line is $240 and i’m poor.
On the return line, yes. On the pressure side, no. The pressure side is somewhere in the neighborhood of 950psi to 1150psi, depending on the engine speed, and needs special fittings for it to withstand the pressure.
