Maruti Udyog Ltd., launched a compact model – Swift in the Indian car market in 2005. Adorned with a combination of Japanese technology and European style, the sedan has won numerous awards since its launch. Swift Dzire variants have a lower curb weight in its class with petrol variants ranging from 1010-1035 kg and diesel variants ranging from 1090-1115 kg. The lower empty weight advantage translates into a good performance of the car. The gearbox is slick and the clutch is smooth. This makes driving the car a pleasure.
Overall, Dzire it feels good driver and performance is similar to the hatchback Swift.
Back The Dzire is totally different from the hatchback. The trunk lid is lifted and has a lip that merges with the shoulder line of the car. A thick chrome garnish on the top of the rear registration plate attempts to offset the weight of the trunk lid large. The rear also boasts new combination lamps with clear lens.
The Swift Dzire retains the cheeky charm of its sedan sibling with a more premium look. Although the front fascia is almost the same as the hatchback, which has a chrome grille and a bit flashy headlamp design clearer.
